Day 48-66

I cut back on my Tumblr time and overall online because I needed to focus on school.

Will remain to be less on Tumblr, but will begin posting again starting tomorrow.

As for now, February 17-March 6 does not exist.

I do, however, have pictures throughout those days which I may or may not post.

Day 47/365: Tuesday Blues

February 16, 2011

Photo Description: Very Last Asian Club Multicultural dance practice. We had Eric Ninh video tape us, but it looked very cramped. The colors are very vibrant on a near raining day. When it cleared up, we went to practice behind the ASB room.

  • Work on homework.
  • School. Didn’t pay attention to school
  • After school practice.
  • Homework.
  • Dinner.
  • Homework.
  • Homework.

Day 46/365: Too Much Extra to be Referred as Extracurriculars

February 15, 2011

Photo Description: The third picture shows us at dance practice at the tennis courts. Anytime it gets dark, my body tells myself I’m tired, and I should start working on academics rather than physical. Changed today. Afterwards, Ada and I went on a date to Target. Wandered for thirty minutes which felt like hours because of how exhausted we felt. Ended up only getting a bowl.

  • Wake up in the morning feeling Senioritis at its fullest extent.
  • Prepare for school and the good old stuff. Got my notes from my mother requesting for a Early Dismissal.
  • Spanish 4: Presentation of the Internet. That’s it basically.
  • Advocacy: Didn’t have the voice to speak so had Chad talk to all our classes. Nothing too bad, but I detest going to Ms. Wilde’s class. Not because of the students, but the fear of her glaring me down for my poor performance in her class currently. Worked on Key Club numbers.
  • AP English 12: Finish Marx presentation. Then begin on Dystopian Novel presentation. Worked on Key Club numbers.
  • AP Statistics: Another lesson today. I already forgot what the lesson was. I hate this feeling.
  • AP Economics: Finish NHS paperwork and calculations for Key Club. Early Dismissal in the middle of C-Notes.
  • Early Dismissal for my Appointment.
  • Franklin Key Club Elections. Worked as the SSA and also asked a couple of questions for the upcoming officers. I spoke with Wesley and Mr. To regarding numbers again, and they want to get it done by the end of the week. I need to stop napping/sleeping.
  • Dance practice at the Tennis courts. Wesley drove us over. I was so tired, I hit one of my natural highs. It was fine, but then the crash came, and I felt pissed and numb about everything. I wish getting something down as a group didn’t require so much planning. Addition, I wish everyone just worked with the schedule to get it done now rather than complaining of everything. Must be frustrating being Catherine or Hinh.
  • Ada’s House. I hid behind the bush while she went inside to grab her car keys. She came out carrying a box of Thai Tea. :)
  • Target Adventure. Basically looked for all the Valentine’s Day sales. Everything was gone already. Only got this Pink Teddy bowl that reminded me of Maplestory. $1. However, I ended up buying a slushy and pasta for a total of $6. Ate for a bit then we left.
  • Ada dropped me off at home. I changed and watched Glee… sort of. I believe I knocked out for majority of it, then I went downstairs.
  • I slept more on the couch. Now I’m pissed at myself because I subjected myself to resting rather than drinking the 5 hour and working.

I don’t want to talk about my health. I just want to get things done. I don’t want people to complain at me. I just want to yell at my wall and feel better. I don’t want to deal with all this shit anymore. I just want all the stress to go away.

It’s funny. You either look at the stress and say “It’s really minuscule,”  or look at the details and see, “THERE’S TOO MUCH TO DO.” I’m more on the irrational side and saying there is so much things, yet I am not doing anything about it anymore because I feel behind. Still looking for that guidance or nudge.

Day 45/365: A Not So Secret Valentine

February 14, 2011

Video Description: The girls at practice trying to get their part. They fail at taking “Shots of Patrooon.” Also, learned Abhi must run to get to where he wants.

  • Woke up feeling better that I slept a lot and got caught up on sleep.
  • Went on Maplestory for a little bit just to get my level that I left myself at 20%. KS’d a Mechanic who kept telling me to CC.
  • Aunt came over and offered to take me out to lunch.
  • Mom came back home and then the two begin filing their taxes.
  • Lunch postponed since I had dance practice.
  • Customer Service Indian Speakers talking to my aunt and mom all day asking us to “Please Hold” every 30 seconds.
  • Dropped off at Brittany’s House to do dance practice. Learning the choreography I missed the day before in about 10 minutes of practice. The guys then girls portion practice.
  • Group practice outside on the sidewalk/street. Abhi having to run to position and us having to restart over and over until he got it right. Michelle and I fooling around as dance partners. Alex as my shot buddy. Good stuff.
  • Dance practice ends and everyone clears out FAST. Left at Brittany’s house just her and I. We talk a little bit inside about Key Club and school… and that’s pretty much it.
  • Picked up by my Aunt. Infuriated about her and my mom having a conversation.
  • Dropped off Paint Thinner for my uncle at this model house facility that he’s working on. Me and my aunt still somewhat arguing.
  • Grab some Carl’s Jr. and then head to Pinkberry. Ordered Blood Orange with Mochi, Strawberry, and Mango. Saw Emerita as I ordered my yoguht.
  • Home, killed the spider that scared me when I woke up, finished my yogurt, and then napped on the other sofa.
  • Woke up and caught up on Degrassi episodes that I missed.
  • AIM, and then Started working on homework.
  • Dinner with my dad and uncle. Dad couldn’t swallow because he lacked saliva again, so I had to prepare him hot cacao so it will ease it down. I didn’t each much since I was still “full” although I only had a Western Bacon really. I guess the yogurt was filling enough.
  • Finished English homework that which I was far behind on.
  • Came up with an idea for CPR. Hopefully I get a good amount of points on it.
  • Hoping to start AP Statistics/AP Economics but failing to do so.
  • Key Club nostalgia viewing conclave pictures.
  • At the moment of nostalgia DGOV Diana Nguyen email’s me:

Hello Adrian!

I heard about your significant contributions to the CNH Key Club District. I would love to recognize your hard work in the Presidents’ and Vice Presidents’ Newsletter I create every month. May you please answer the following questions by February 19th? If you cannot make this deadline, you may answer them at a later time. Of course you don’t have to participate too!
  • Work on the response to her email

Day 44/365: Religion & Customs

February 13, 2011

Photo Description: Went to my church that I’ve been going to the past 13 years. First picture was suppose to be actually a tree and sidewalk, but I wasn’t paying attention and this was the only shot I got. Oh well. Second picture is my lunch.

  • Woke up by my dad at 9:40 AM. Told to go shower and get ready for church.
  • Go online to tell the group I won’t be at practice since I had church. Tumblred for a bit.
  • Showered and got ready for church.
  • Went to church, and the chapel that followed it.
  • Went to Fuji’s in hope to grab a seat, but sadly none to avail.
  • Went to Satori’s in retaliation. Pretty packed because people thought the same thing about Fuji’s. I ordered a Bento Box and Dynamite Roll. Pretty delicious.
  • Home from the whole family excursion around 2PM. Decided to nap because I was tired from nights beforehand and food makes me sleepy.
  • Woke up at 8 PM and just worked a little bit of the night. Finished the Timewrite that I was behind in English… Very late.
  • Decided to relax myself since I was behind. Played Maplestory for a little bit.
  • Felt guilty, and did some Key Club work.
  • Went to sleep early. I was hoping I would wake up to do more work.

Day 43/365: Divisional Productivity

February 12, 2011

Photo Description: Waking up at 8:00 AM is not fun, especially after a long day beforehand. The following picture is Carmen, Sharon, and I working on our binders. Carmen is applying for member of the year, so hopefully she gets that done. I was teaching them how to use graphic standards.

  • Wake up at 7:30 AM. Clean the living room and organize my papers.
  • Mom makes me clean the rest of the house while we wait.
  • Take a nice warm shower and release my inhibitions.
  • Computer while I waited. Worked on my FAFSA as I waited.
  • Sharon and Jenny come over around 8:30. They review the Key Club tests while I complete my FAFSA with my padre.
  • Back and we began working on Divisional submissions.
  • Called Austin Wu a billion times regarding the award grading.
  • Jamie comes by hoping to work on DCON Paperwork; realizes we aren’t and leaves.
  • Worked on what we thought was work. Break time for Sharon. Stalking time with my cell phone to witness her piano skills.
  • Carmen comes over and we begin working on basic binder covers and how to work with Microsoft Word. Explain how to use PDF Converter/PDF Merger.
  • Shrimp Ramen Cups and just chilling in my kitchen.
  • Teresa, Jenny, and Sharon work to finish their Divisional awards that they have to complete. I decide to take about a 15 minute nap before the dance.
  • Dress up for the dance. Same outfit as MNYB, but who cares.
  • Girls go home, and immediately picked up by Ada and Jessica.
  • Pass by Shell, Carls Jr., and Burger King.
  • Pleasant Grove for their Bad Romance Dance. It was a pretty good dance. I loved how I went completely awkward this time around since I didn’t really dance at MNYB (I generally don’t dance at this one). Some regrets because of steps I didn’t take, but what’s done is done yes….? Saw some familiar faces like Christian Kamiya and Kathleen Soriano.
  • Helped clean up after the dance by popping balloons and any other trash we could pick up.
  • Afterdance dinner at Denny’s with Wesley, Jessica, Jamie, Tee, Ada, Sam, and I. Shared a grandslam (sorta) with Ada. Fell asleep as I waited for people to come to a decision.
  • Brought home by Ada. Slept on the way home from the dance.
  • Home, changed, and went to sleep.

It seems like this “Too Tired to Function” feeling always happens soon as I get home from somewhere, especially at night.

Day 42/365: Kaflunk Culture, Conclave, and Conversations

February 11, 2011

Video Description: Here is our dress rehearsal for Asian Club. Oh man, we did pretty bad in terms of being in sync, but it doesn’t look that bad. Find me in the white with the girl in pink. :)

  • Woke up at midnight and started doing some homework. Called late night and talked on the phone. It felt nice talking again, but then it grew lonely when they fell asleep.
  • I went back downstairs after finishing the little homework and decided to nap. Told my brother who plays videogames all night, to wake me up at 4:00 AM so I can get caught up/ahead on math homework and other subjects.
  • Woke up to my own tired self to find it is 6:10 AM. See my brother playing Black Ops in the dark right beside me. what the fuck.
  • Didn’t bother getting too pissed, and thought ahead- “What must be done now before I freak out too much.” Got it done, and then got ready for school.
  • Practiced my presentation in the shower, and dressed up in white dress shirt, pink tie, black slacks, and vans. I forgot my belt however.
  • Spanish 4: La prueba de vocabulario. Nailed the imperfect subjunctive (I think) then we started working on our los inventos project. Since we chose the internet, thought quick and designed our poster as a Google Chrome browser. Luckily had my phone on hand. Did not finish, but we decided to present on Monday.
  • AP English 12: Cancelled the quiz because I didn’t finish presenting. Continued talking/standing for another 50 minutes. I think I presented Kierkegaard well enough to get me at least a high B or A. Let’s hope to see some nudge in my grade.
  • AP Statistics: Everyone is just tired. We worked on a worksheet for the entire period. I think.
  • AP Economics: We basically wasted the period again. Spent our review period to do jokes and pick up lines…. really? Took the test, but I fear that I might have messed up so many times. I never have confidence in myself anymore when it comes to testing.
  • Dance performance in the cafeteria today. Rosemarie and I practiced over and over, but too bad we choked during the actual performance. Oh well, hopefully we nail it next week.
  • Walked to Ada’s house where the girls prepared for Conclave. I typed up the list for Bad Romance Dance presales from Laguna Creek while they did that. Error with the money so had to deal with the little details. Thank you Jamie for helping.
  • Drive by my house to grab money and freshen up. Grabbed my blazer, pin, and bowtie. Picked up Jonny and then we did a Froyo run at Tops Yogurt. I got a cone for 0.99
  • Conclave late, but on time - Does that make sense? Intense conclave speeches and discussion. Block discussion but then Laguna Creek needed to discuss amongst ourselves. Decision made. Winner of conclave was Lydia Thung. I’m proud of her that she made it this far in Key Club.
  • In ‘N Out run with Ada, Jamie, and Jonny. We just talked and ate the entire time. Saw Jesten while we were there, but they were already playing Monopoly Deal. Jonny and his two sandwiches, was full (including everyone), so we decide to go to Jamie’s house.
  • Jamie’s house, we just talked all night. Yearbook staking and just more conversation. Jamie offers pink tablet for sore throat. I take and do not finish my medicine. I lose my voiceIncredibly sad about that.
  • Home and then sleep.

Day 41/365: Kierkegaard, Mathletes, & Culture

February 10, 2011

Photo Description: Jessica and Ada reviewing how they did on the Key Club test. Congratulations to all! Almost everyone had passed the test, you guys did great. We were about to assist Mathletes with their competition afterschool at our school. I wish I was good at math like these folks.

  • Kierkegaard philosophy understanding late at night.
  • Read Sophie’s World and took two pages worth of notes on him.
  • Typed my essay like a boss in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Incoherent certainly.
  • Called my aunt, drank water, and just a longer shower.
  • Brought to school by my aunt.
  • Spanish 4: I copied notes from Claire because I was cramming all other the night before. When Sadia asked to copy, I just felt disgusting. I need to stay on top of my own work so I don’t feel like that again.
  • AP English 12: Lauren presented and made the Key Clubbers perform “How Do You Feel” cheer in the front of the classroom- lead us of course. Ms. Wilde questioned what do we do in Key Club, but nonetheless she got a 145/150 on her presentation. Me up next. I began with my activity, which groups only were able to chose who they believed was at fault. Unable to finish, my presentation continued to the next day.
  • AP Statistics: Another lesson that I actually got… I think. Before starting AP Statistics homework, I talked to Nicole Pownell, the powerhouse speaker in our AP English class. I did a practice run through for the rest of my presentation, and she just said “Interesting.” That made me somewhat better.
  • Lunch followed and then I went back to the ASB Room where I just relaxed a bit.
  • AP Economics: More discussion in our ECON in the News. I began grading the Key Club tests while we were grading our Study Guides. Instead of saying, “Put that away,” our teacher questioned, “There’s a Key Club Test?” She was impressed. That was it for the period.
  • Afterschool, Ada, Jessica, and I decided to go to the Mathletes competition to show our support (and free food). I finished grading the tests, and finalized who had passed and not. Then we cheered for a bit outside, welcoming people.
  • Saw Conway from Franklin, Bryan and Mimi, and Matt Kane from Consumnes Oaks. Old/new faces which means something in my symbolic knowledge- somewhere.
  • Dance practice at Catherine Bui’s house. Learned the choreograph. Then I just practiced alone for a good long while without a partner.
  • Picked up by my father and then we went grab Jack N’ Box. Went home, and did some homework.
  • Napped till midnight.

Day 40/365: Key Club Testing & The Trial

February 9, 2011

Photo Description: In this picture, Viviane just spent about 8 dollars giving “Anonymous” Valentine grams to Daniel Ansorge. Then you also see Jessica Yee getting one or two for Mr. Jonathan Questionmark Wong. Second picture shows the Key Club officer candidates taking the test. Jamie, being her crude self, took the test with one leg up, and owned the test. Too bad she didn’t score highest. :P

  • Homework until about 3 AM
  • Slept the rest of the night
  • Woke up and prepared myself some Tea. Got ready for school and that good stuff.
  • School. Nothing special that made the day absolutely wonderful or rememberable. Lunch time, I spent in the ASB room doing homework that I knew that I had to eliminate since I had to cram an entire essay that night basically.
  • Key Club test after school. Jonny made me copies in the Copy Center. We wasted so much paper, but I think it’s technically worth it.
  • Almost everyone takes over 1 hour and 30 minutes for the entire test. The janitors kicked us out so I watched people complete the test then and there.
  • Walked home and as soon as I got home, I napped.
  • Woke up, webcammed with the Jamaican. Drank some coffee and five hour energy. Pump that energy for learning Kierkegaard.

Day 39/365: The Argument

February 8, 2011

Photo Description: Apologies, this is the only picture I could really say I did. I didn’t take any pictures on my phone today because I have so many other things on mind. However, luckily for those that are taking the Key Club officer test tomorrow, here are basically all the questions. Good luck.

  • Woke up at midnight.
  • Key Club Test typing up for 3 hours.
  • Other class assignments.
  • Nap for about 30 minutes
  • Getting ready for school.
  • Argument. More like being yelled at by my dad.
  • Yelled at in the car. Left the car pissed.
  • Spanish 4: Basically learning something more confusing. Prevented myself from breaking into tears. Understood the information and what not. Worked on Sophie’s World while doing the lesson. Surprised Senora isn’t angry at me- perhaps she knew I was sad when I walked in. Highlight of the period is when we started dancing in class haha. I should have recorded that.
  • AP English 12: Voltaire and Rosseau presentations today. After the video about the Hero’s Journey, I recall watching it. Man it sucks how influenced technology and greed influences our society.
  • AP Statistics: Finishing our test. I think I did better than expected, but I had to guess on the multiple choice.
  • AP Economics: We waste time like its nothing… Basically just went over warm-up and worksheets then finally got to the study guide. Instead, I worked on tonight’s homework. I’ll try to finish the study guide tonight as well since I’m pulling an all nighter.
  • NHS meeting. Note to self: Grade checks, Adopt-a-Family report, and purchase my T-Shirt.
  • Key Club Test Review Session. Two sessions one for those with AP Physics and one without. I basically gave the whole entire test so I expect all passing and then ready for elections at the end of the month.
  • Ada’s House where I took some more Thai Tea from her. :)
  • Popeye’s where I ordered her food. Basically spent the time talking to Ada.
  • Home, nap without knowing it. Up in time for dinner.
  • Homework really early while watching Glee.
  • Tumblr.
  • Homework.
  • Thai Tea before I get back to working.

Not that exciting, but not that good of a day either. Sigh.

“Don’t feel bad. Even me, he yells.”
